This Course is a mandatory training course for individuals who are to undertake the role of a Supervisor in the marine industry.

To familiarize participants on:

  • Overview of WSH Act and subsidiary legislations including practical information on supervising WSH at the workplace.
  • Safety and health duties of a Supervisor.
  • Outlining safety planning and organization.
  • Identifying job hazards and applying control measures.
  • Assisting in carrying out a risk assessment for work activities.
  • Conducting safety inspections.
  • Identifying the causes of accidents and recommending preventive measures.
  • Conducting investigation and preparing an incident report.

Workplace literacy and numeracy Level 4 under Employability Skills System (ESS) or equivalent.

  • From 1st Jan 2022, SkillsFuture course funding has been revised to a baseline of up to 50% of the Course fee for certifiable courses approved by SSG.
