OVERVIEW
The Logistics and Transport Safety Orientation Course is a basic Workplace Safety and Health course for all workers working in the Logistics and Transport Industry. It is targeted at operational personnel and workers, small business operations and self-employed persons employed in the logistics and transport industry. After the course, the participants should be able to recognize the safety hazards in their area of work, know the preventive measures to be adopted and observing safety signs and safe work procedures.
This course is designed for all workers carrying out manual labour in the logistics and transport industry
- Understand legal obligations in workplace safety and health
- Identify hazards in logistics and transport industry
- Recognize all types of industrial safety signs
- Competent in wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Take safety precautions when working with different hazards
- Respond in case of fire or emergency
To provide all workers working in the logistics and transport industry with basic knowledge to recognize the safety hazards in the area of work, preventive measures to be adopted, and the importance of observing safety signs and SWP.
Learners are assumed to have:
Employability skills(ES) workplace literacy level 3 and above.
Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES workplace numeracy level 3 and above.

- From 1st Jan 2022, SkillsFuture course funding has been revised to a baseline of up to 50% of the Course fee for certifiable courses approved by SSG.
- Enterprises and individuals who qualify for SSG’s enhanced subsidy schemes (SkillsFuture Mid-career Enhanced Subsidy and Enhanced
Training Support for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)) will receive an enhanced subsidy of up to 20% – points above the baseline course fee subsidies. - For Singaporeans aged 25 and above, you can choose to tap on your SkillsFuture Credit to offset out-of-pocket expenses for this training
